Client: Delta Air Lines

Objective: To overcome massive public criticism following an Atlanta snowstorm that left hundreds of passengers stranded on the tarmac for hours and disrupted commercial flights nationwide.

Dickerson Communications, working with Delta Air Lines and officials at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, drafted a Snowstorm report that detailed new protocols for dealing with snowstorms and flight cancellations at the world's busiest airport.

Dickerson Communications provided intensive media training for Delta and airport officials, and assisted in hosting a press conference to announce the findings. Delta and Hartsfield still adhere to the policies outlined in the Snowstorm report, and while there have been major winter weather events since that time, the procedures outlined in the report have prevented the major mishaps of 2003.
